June 24, 2026Life doesn’t wait and now your money doesn’t have to either. Dow Credit Union is introducing Rapid Transfers, a new feature that lets you link a debit card from another financial institution to transfer money between your Dow Credit Union account and external account within seconds.*
No more waiting days for transfers to clear. No more digging for routing numbers. No more relying on outside apps just to access your own funds.
Move Money in Seconds, Not Days
Traditional transfers, like ACH, can take two or more business days to process. That delay can be stressful when you’re trying to:
- Cover an unexpected expense
- Move money between accounts
- Manage cash flow
- Access funds from a digital wallet
With our new rapid transfer capability, you can move money securely in real time using your external debit card. That means rapid access to your funds — day or night — right inside your Dow Credit Union Online Banking or Mobile Banking App.
Simple, Secure Setup
Getting started is easy:
- Sign in to Online Banking or the Mobile App
- Go to Transfers > Rapid Transfers > (+) Add a card
- Add an external Visa or Mastercard debit card
To link a card successfully, the name and address must match both accounts. Only personal accounts are eligible at this time, and Dow Credit Union debit cards cannot be linked.*
What You Can and Can’t Do
You can move money between your Dow Credit Union accounts and eligible personal accounts at other financial institutions using a linked debit card.
You cannot send money to other people, transfer to or from loans, or use HSA accounts. Business accounts are currently not eligible.
Fees and Limits
Rapid Transfers offers speed and convenience with simple, transparent pricing. A 0.75% fee (minimum $0.50) applies when transferring funds into Dow Credit Union. A 1.75% fee (minimum $0.50) applies when transferring funds out of Dow Credit Union to another institution.
The transfer limit is $5,000 per day. External financial institutions may impose additional debit card limits that could further restrict transfer amounts.

* Rapid Transfers are available only for eligible personal accounts and require Online Banking enrollment. HSA accounts are not eligible.
