We’re committed to being open about cost so you can make the best choice for your budget. While free standard transfers are always an option, a Rapid Transfer carries a small fee (up to 1.75% or a $0.50 minimum per transaction) for near-instant delivery.1,3

A Rapid Transfer is completed within seconds; however, in some instances, transfers may take up to 30 minutes, and in rare circumstances up to 48 hours. Traditional transfers, like ACH, can take two or more business days to process. That delay can be stressful when you’re trying to:

  • Cover an unexpected expense
  • Move money between accounts
  • Manage cash flow
  • Access funds from a digital wallet
Rapid Transfers are available only for eligible personal accounts and require Online Banking enrollment. HSA accounts are not eligible and Dow Credit Union debit cards cannot be linked. To link a card successfully, the name and address must match both accounts.
You cannot send money to other people, transfer to or from loans, or use HSA accounts. Business accounts are currently not eligible.
Rapid Transfer offers speed and convenience with simple, transparent pricing. A 0.75% fee (minimum $0.50) applies when transferring funds into Dow Credit Union. A 1.75% fee (minimum $0.50) applies when transferring funds out of Dow Credit Union to another institution.

The Rapid Transfer limit is $5,000 per day. External financial institutions may impose additional debit card limits that could further restrict transfer amounts.

  1. Rapid Transfers are available only for eligible personal accounts and require Online Banking enrollment. HSA accounts are not eligible.   3. Small Fee and Near-Instant Delivery. There is a 1.75% fee ($0.50 minimum) when sending funds to an external account via debit card. Fees are not counted towards the daily limit. Daily limits are refreshed at 12:00 a.m. CT. Fund availability may vary depending on the receiving financial institution.
