Interview with Jeremy Gwizdala, Owner of Gwizdala Property Management

My business is rooted in real estate investing, and I also own two gyms. Through Gwizdala Property Management, we focus on both commercial and residential real estate. But my journey into this business world wasn’t exactly planned—it started with a problem.

While searching for rental spaces to open our gyms—CrossFit Whip and Whip Fitness in Saginaw—we ran into constant challenges with landlords and property managers. That experience sparked an idea: What if we did this ourselves, and did it better? That’s how we stepped into property management—driven by a desire to offer better service to tenants and make a positive impact on our community.

Since then, we’ve grown to manage 13 units, a mix of commercial and residential properties. Along the way, we’ve partnered with local businesses and hosted community events, including 5Ks to raise funds for various causes and charities. One of our most rewarding partnerships has been with Lake Effect Chiropractic. We're incredibly grateful to have grown alongside them—building our businesses together through collaboration, shared vision, and mutual support.

What sets us apart is our hands-on approach. We’re not just investors—we’re present, involved, and we actually live in the very communities we’re helping to grow. For us, it’s about more than real estate. It’s about building something meaningful.

Why Dow Credit Union? I’ve been a member since I was 13 or 14. My entire family has worked for Dow, and it’s where I opened my first bank account. Over the years, I’ve always hoped they’d offer business services—and when they finally did, we didn’t hesitate.

We recently secured a loan for our business through Dow Credit Union, which is helping us expand and support other entrepreneurs as they launch their first businesses in our new units. It’s a full-circle moment—growing our business while helping others grow theirs.
