By accessing a social media site managed by Dow Credit Union, you are agreeing to these guidelines. We reserve the right to change these guidelines at any time at our sole discretion.

Information/Wall Purpose

Dow Credit Union is on several social media channels to provide you with an additional communication channel. Social media is a community where you can learn, discuss ideas, and converse about the many features of our products and services with others that share your interest in Dow Credit Union. Social media works best when participants treat their fellow posters with respect and courtesy and add value to the conversation.

Privacy and Confidential Information

Dow Credit Union social media is generally available to the public. Never post personal, private or confidential information such as your address, telephone number, account information or password. We are not responsible for anything that may occur if you post your personal, private or confidential information to a social media site. We will never ask you to provide this type of information through a public channel like social media. If you have any doubt about the confidentiality of certain information, please don’t post it.

Please note that we cannot accept comments from individuals under the age of 13.

Blocked/Restricted Data

We reserve the right to remove posts and block posts which may be inappropriate and/or pose a security threat to our members. Anyone repeatedly posting material that contain hateful, profane, harassing, threatening, obscene references, fraudulent or misleading comments, copyright violations, promoting illegal activities, other state/local/federal law violations or self promotion/advertising, will be banned from participating on this page.

We recommend that you be familiar with the privacy and security policies of the social media sites you use (such as Facebook & LinkedIn), and understand how your information can be displayed and used throughout each site as well as other third party sites that may be linked.

Discussion Guidelines

When using a Dow Credit Union social media site, we request that you follow guidelines that will help keep the discussions constructive, relevant and appropriate. We reserve the right to moderate and delete any content at our sole discretion.

Your post should not contain:

  • Disparaging, discriminatory, hateful, profane or provocative content
  • Confidential content
  • Infringing content
  • Unlawful content
  • Spam

Response Time

Monitoring of the Dow Credit Union social media channels will take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday (exception being granted for holidays). We will do our best to respond to your post within two (2) hours during this set time period and will seek to connect with you as soon as practical outside of this set time frame. You may always call us at 800.835.7794 during business hours for immediate assistance.


Dow Credit Union has not reviewed all of the third-party sites linked to its social media sites, and is not responsible for their contents. The inclusion of any third-party link does not imply endorsement by Dow Credit Union.

Dow Credit Union does not endorse any comments made by its employees, unless they are representatives authorized to comment on behalf of the credit union on social media sites.

Dow Credit Union does not endorse or validate assertions or forward-looking statements in the comments. All statements and viewpoints expressed in the comments are strictly those of the commenter alone, and do not constitute an official position of Dow Credit Union.
