Frequently Asked Questions

Participation in the Promotion is limited to natural persons, who at the time of entry are Dow Credit Union members in good standing, 18 years of age or older, and are legal residents of the state of Michigan. By participating in the Promotion, Promotion Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Employees, officers, and directors of the Credit Union are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

To enter the Promotion, an Eligible Participant must apply, be approved for, and close on a Qualifying Loan during the Promotion Period.

Qualifying Loans are:

  • New Personal Loans of $1,000 or more that are approved, closed and funded during the Promotion Period; and
  • Existing Personal Loans refinanced during the Promotion Period if an additional advance of $1,000 or more is made at the time of the refinancing.
The Credit Union will select Prizewinners at random by means of computer-generated random drawing held at Dow Credit Union Headquarters in Midland, Michigan on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 9:00 AM EST as observed in Midland, Michigan. All Promotion Participants are welcome to attend the drawing, but Prizewinners need not be present in order to win. Prizewinners who are not present at the random drawing will be notified by mail, telephone, online banking message, or email, following the drawing. 
Eligible members must secure a minimum funding of $1,000 and/or bring in $1,000 in new money through refinancing.

Each Prizewinner will be eligible to receive: the lesser of $5,000.00, or the outstanding principal and interest on the associated personal loan, or the remaining balance of the prize pool. Each Prizewinner will receive his/her/their Prize by way of the Credit Union’s application of the Prize amount to the outstanding balance (principal and interest) of the Prizewinner’s Qualifying Loan on or before January 3, 2025, directly to their loan account.

No. Only the balance held at the time of the drawing on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 9:00 AM EST qualifies for the loan payoff.
